Make Up Destinations: USA 1.1 Drugstore

Among other things I will post about make up destinations for a couple of weeks. I will show you guys why I’m dying to go there and what I would get.

As you noticed from the headline, the first part will be the US. I made this as the first part because it’s just so obvious and maybe you’ll be guessing what’s gonna be next!

And I’m gonna start with the most obvious brand as well.covergirl

CoverGirl

The most accessible and well-priced brand in the US. Every time I watch ANTM  and they are promoting CoverGirls easy, breezy make up, I get really frustrated for not being able to purchase them!! And in this case I don’t have any specific products that I would def want to get, I wanna try EVERYTHING!

And another iconic US drugstore brand

P_Face_Foundation_PhotoReady.ashx

Revlon

We have had Revlon products in Estonia, but that was ages ago. Every beauty guru owns Revlon lipsticks and the reviews I’ve heard about the PhotoReady Foundation! I haven’t literally read any bad reviews about this product. They even compare this with Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation. I would def try this one.

Next- we have this in Estonia, but we don’t have enough!

Sally Hansen

We do have a lot of Sally Hansen, I’ve even seen a couple of lipglosses, but there’s a lot more!! Starting with amazing lipsticks to eyeshadows, Sally Hansen has it all and we’ve never seen them.

Are some Estonians at least a bit surprised?

And last but def not least, my fav drugstore brand ever.

Sonia Kashuk

AMAZING!!!!! Sonia Kashuk has affordable, but extremely good quality brushes that I have wet dreams of (well I would if  I were a guy..) And SK also has palettes, amazing palettes and her nailpolishes just came out! And an extremely awsome golden highlighter. And here they are..

Aren’t the handles just fabulous??

Drooool…

The palette, highlighter and marble effect brush  you can see are from Sonia’s Spring 2011 collection.

And lastly I torture myself by checking out stuff from SEPHORA, I dare you to click on the link. You’ll want to order everything, but won’t be able to (atlest when you live in Estonia, otherwise I envy you).

Next part coming up soon, can you guess what will be featured?

Mascara crisis

I’M BACK! And no, I wasn’t away on business ormsth. I’m just extremely lazy. And now I feel so guilty that I haven’t posted almost anything. So let’s get to the point.
The title pretty much speaks for itself. I’m almost done with my Falsies and I really don’t know which mascara I should purchase next. But luckily I at least have some ideas.

MAX Factor Masterpiece

This mascara is honestly my all time favourite.. at least so far. I have repurchased it twice I think. They make it in waterproof too and my mascara has to be waterproof. So this would be my first choice.

MAX Factor False Lash Effect

Janne has told me like million times to purchase this mascara and it has quite good reviews also. But the brush is the thing that scares me a bit – it’s huge. And I really don’t like big brushes plus I don’t feel good about this mascara. Why? I don’t know.

MAX Factor Xperience

Yes, I’m obsessed with this company. Anyway, the reason why I consider purchasing this mascara is that I’m using the Xperience foundation at the moment and it’s simply amazing. Also the lip products seem very tempting so I have the feeling that the mascara should be great too. I love the brush, but the only downside is that they don’t make it in waterproof. WHYYYY?

Maybelline One by One

Liis recently bought it. I haven’t asked her actually is it any good or not. But I know, that it separates your lashes extremely well. (haha) Again, the brush scares me a bit, but it’s on sale everywhere atm so I’m really tempted to purchase it.

BeYu Heartbreaker mascara

So the other day we were wondering around the Ideaal Kosmeetika with Janne and I noticed that little thing on the counter. The packaging is amazing! And I instantly fell in love with the brush. But that’s it. I really have no idea if their mascaras are good or not. BUT, again.. they don't make it in waterproof. WHY OH WHY?

So.. that’s it atm. I’m extremely confused and lost, haha. Tell me, which mascara I should purchase! And of course, I’m open for suggestions.

Sunday beauty routine

I’ve seen a lot of posts with this caption lately, so I thought I’d make one as well.

And here’s what I use on my face.

sundaybeauty04.11

The first thing I do after taking a shower is tone my face using The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. I thought that I would get used to the smell of tea tree, but i haven’t and it kind of still slightly irritates my skin. It doesn’t irritate that much, just makes it hurt a bit for a little while, so I  will use it up, but wouldn’t purchase this again. I guess it could work for some people, but my skin is just too sensitive.

After that I scrub my face with Christian Breton Créme Exfoliante Super Radiance Exfoliating Cream. Only my perfume is more expensive than this and it cost around 22 Euro for 50ml. It has super tiny exfoliating particles, leaves my face super soft and hydrated and it smells really good. It has this creamy smell which lingers on your face for hours. I don’t want to put anything else on my face after using it because I’m scared that the softness and the smell disappear. This product definitely gets a huge thumbs up from me.

To make the routine more effective, I use Freeman Facial Clay Mask with avocado and oatmeal. I have only used it twice, but I think it’s very good, my skin instantly seemed to be clearer and smoother. And don’t get me started about the smell. IT IS AMAZING!!!!! It smells really sweet, can’t really describe it because it doesn’t smell like a specific fruit or flower, but it really sweet and great. And it cost around 5 Eur for 150ml, so you get a LOT of product.

And after I’m done with my masks, I moisturize my skin. I use The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I only use the day cream because I couldn’t afford both, but it works well. This is quite a popular product all over the world and I can understand why. It has a nice smell, moisturizes well but it sinks into your skin really fast so that’s really great. Leaves skin radiant. I also use this on my neck and chest.

For the eyes, I use Oriflame Soothing Eye Contour Gel with Chamomille. It moisturizes the eye area well, also sinks in very fast and that’s pretty much all I have to say about it.

And that’s it, I’m off to bake a cake for a very special lady who is going to reach legal dirinking age tomorrow!!! Maybe you’ll see some pics about the cake next week.

Meow!

Sparkle celebration

As I'm counting down the days until the weekend, I thought I'd make myself nice party nails! Woo!

Here's a picture how they came out:
(Yes, I know, I still need to clean up!)

What you need:
  • some nailglitter(?), which you can find basically every beauty store
  • random see-through nail polish
Could there be any less stuff?

Now.. Just apply one coat of the see-through nail polish onto your nails. Don't let it dry, start pouring the glitter on! Trust me it's fun! & of course a bit messy too. But it's all worth it. When the glitters has landed on your nails nicely, just dab it down really gently, so that the surface would be a little smoother. After that wait until the polish and the glitter have dried. The last thing is applying the second coat of the see-through nail polish on to the glittery layer. This helps it to stay there longer.
As simple as that! Enjoy! : )
